Stitch ‘n’ Rippers makes comfort quilts for those ‘n’ need.
Meeting Mondays at 1:00.
Betty Jean Tedford and her helpers donate time, expertise, and materials to brighten up the lives of people who have suffered a loss or a mishap through gifting of handmade quilts. Over the last 3 years, the group has made some 175 quilts and/or pillows, with each one meant to be timely for a particular situation that warrants the gift. Some occasions are loss of a loved one, illness, injury, birth of a child or grandchild, surgery, or other life event.
Quilts are sometimes given to pregnancy centers or military hospital to distribute as they see fit. All in all, this has been a very impactful ministry for our church.
