Tom was born in Colorado Springs, and has lived in Colorado for almost all of his life.  He and Esther have known each other since childhood, and have been married for over 30 years.  They have 4 children:  Riley, Casey, Seth (deceased), and Leah, and 4 grandchildren.  All reside in Colorado.

Tom had a secular career until a few years ago when he felt led to become a pastor.  He had served for several years as elder and head elder in his church in Kersey, being mentored by the pastor there.  He attended the Sangre de Cristo Seminary in Westcliffe, Colorado and graduated in 2014.

He was pastor at a small church in North Dakota until early 2016.  He accepted the call to lead our church in May of 2016 and relocated to the local area in June.

Outside of church activities, Tom enjoys hiking, camping, fishing, and reading, especially theology.  He gives Esther all the credit for supporting and encouraging him.   They both like to ride motorcycles together.  Tom also likes repairing mechanical things, and of course, spending time with his children and grandchildren.

Tom’s style of preaching is low-key and insightful, with the emphasis on the Bible as God’s inspired word.  He and Esther would love to meet you, whether in one of our services or studies, or in the community.
